$1.2 Million Motorcycle Accident Settlement
Robert* was driving his motorcycle when he left the road in a single-vehicle accident, seriously injuring himself. Although he alone was responsible for the accident, he was entitled to benefits from his own automobile insurance company. Every insured driver in Ontario has paid for, and is entitled to receive these Accident Benefits when injured in an automobile collision.
Robert applied for, and was receiving Accident Benefits for several years. His insurance company wished to close its file, and offered Robert a settlement. Before accepting the offer, Robert sought Peter Curran’s advice. Peter identified several areas where the insurance company was undervaluing Robert’s claim. Through knowledgeable and determined negotiation, Peter convinced the insurance company to increase its offer by several hundred thousand dollars.
Robert settled his claim for over $1.2 million dollars; providing for his future medical needs and financial security.

$125,000 Municipal Sidewalk Injury
Jane* was on her way into work as a nurse. Walking on a city sidewalk, Jane tripped on uneven and cracked pavement, falling to the ground. She suffered a broken arm. Although the arm was repaired through surgery, she continued to experience aching pain on a regular basis. In addition, because of the physical demands of her job, she was off work for a number of months, and returned on a gradual basis. It became more difficult for Jane to maintain her home, and her enjoyment of golfing and other hobbies decreased.
With expert medical opinions about the effect of Jane’s injuries, together with seasoned advocacy, Peter Curran secured a settlement of $125,000 on Jane’s behalf.
